Day 17: TRA LA LA It's Opera Night!

Today we had class start an hour earlier than usual because we had to get to the opera at 6:30pm. We don't usually get out of class until 8pm so this was a nice treat. In class we watched Umbrellas of Cherbourg so we endured probably 5 1/2 to 6 hours of straight signing in foreign languages. I'm also really impressed that I got ready in like 7 minutes on one of our breaks between the lecture and the film screening.

The nosebleed section of the Opera House.

I thought I was classy...until I had to chug that glass of wine a minute later. I'm mostly glad I didn't spill it on myself! #winning!

Eliza and Ally deep in conversation at the opera.

After the opera, we went to Propaganda because our friends were working and we ended up getting some free drinks! It was raining on the way home and let me tell you, it is a straight up struggle to walk in jack rogers in the rain. I kept losing my right shoe because my feet were soaked! I was also trying to hold up my dress so it wouldn't drag in the puddles while holding an umbrella! STRUGGLE!

I was also holding my delicious street meat chicken pita so maybe that's talent? You decide!

Eventually we got a taxi because the tram was too far of a walk for us all that night! And sadly, I ended up leaving my umbrella in the cab that night :( Eliza also broke her umbrella that night and left it in the cab...

We said a few words for the lost and broken umbrellas...RIP gone but never forgotten!
